I like to spend time with my family and dogs
I like to spend time with my family and dogs. My family and I like to get together and play games occasionally. I like to ride our motorcycle with my husband when I get the chance. I love to travel, there are summers where I go to Costa Rica. But this last summer my husband and I went on a cruise. This is my 6th year here at Bonham.

Some of My Work:
10
Art Rules: RESPECT your peers, teacher and classroom.
Remain QUIET at ALL TIMES. BE READY upon entering the room. Be SAFE with all materials. CLEAN UP after yourself and help others. Create Art and TRY your BEST!! NO FOOD OR GUM IN THE ART ROOM!
11
Class…What Does RESPECT mean?
LISTEN BE HONEST ACCEPT OTHERS Basically…. Treat others the way you would like to me treated!
12
WHY ARE WE TO REMAIN QUIET??
Creativity may be hard for some students. Remaining quiet can help the creative process. Bullying occurs so often. There will be less bullying if we are not talking. Think about it.. When you talk you are either talking about someone, ugly to someone or making fun of someone. Better artwork which means better results in the Art show. A safe and successful environment will be created for all students.
13
Consequences: Verbal Warning Change in seating
Call to parent or guardian Before or after school detention (with me, cleaning the room) Referral Permanent removal from my class if problem cannot be resolved.
14
REWARDS: Individual praise Class and individual candy MUSIC days

15
Procedures: Come in QUIETLY and look for “DO NOW”
Get YOUR NUMBERED materials (as needed) and return to your seat. Materials are all returned before period ends. Your area has to be neat and clean before class dismissal. Your work goes in the assigned bins for your class period.
16
Supplies: You will need:
$20 art fee (I buy all materials that you need in bulk to save your family time and money) Pencil (not mechanical)
17
SKETCHBOOK You will each receive a Sketchbook.
All notes, thumbnail sketches, tests, drawing, will go glued into this. You will be required to keep your sketchbook organized for grades.
18
Project Policy: I DO NOT ACCEPT UNFINISHED WORK. All work must be completed based on the instructions given. I decide if your work is complete or not. Unfinished work is a ZERO, absolutely no credit will be given until complete. If you do not finish something by the due date, COME IN FOR TUTORING. Your grade will be adjusted accordingly.
19
Grading Scale Major Grades – 60% (projects, tests, large items)
Minor Grades – 40% (notes, sketchbook, studio participation, progress checks)
20
Project grading rubric:
There will be a grading rubric for every project created in this class. Rubrics help you follow your success and know where to improve. On the rubric, you will grade yourself as well as receive a final grade from me.
21
Critiques At the end of projects, you will have an opportunity to discuss your work with a small group. The discussions are called critiques and help you to learn to explain your work and grow from each other.
22
Absent??? It is your responsibility, NOT MINE, to get the work complete and put in your spiral. This includes your table of contents that must be updated. You can catch yourself up in tutoring, make up notse/work may not always be finished in class.
23
Additional Information:
This is NOT a Blow off class… You will be receiving an ART 1 HIGH SCHOOL credit, but you have to EARN IT! I have high expectations for my students because I see better in all of you and it is my job to bring it out of you. If you are nice to me, I will be nice to you. You do not have to be a great Artist to receive an “A” in this class. EFFORT and ATTITUDE go a long way! If you choose to not try and have a poor attitude, your consequence will be a poor grade
