What does David’s flight to the land of Philistine teach us?
We must not forget God’s previous deliverance, in times of trouble (2 Cor. 1:10) Fear is not of God; it displaces faith and opens the door to many other sins (2Timothy 1:7) In times of challenges, we must rather pray than use carnal methods (Romans 8:31; 2 Cor. 10:4,5)

How does the action of the princes apply to Christian youths today?
Christian youths must beware of mixed multitude that could pose a threat to their spiritual progress Just as they insisted in saving their king from the likelihood of destruction, Christian youths must make diligent efforts to save other youths from going to hell Personal evangelism, social media, print media, etc.

Lessons from the princes of Philistine…
They were courageous to approach their king to express their feelings about David They could discern between friends and foes; with this spirit, they saved their nation from foreseeable doom They were very firm in their stand against the king’s position on the issue till he consented to their opinion They refused to be intimidated with the king’s position and authority They expressed their minds without fear.
