Sacrificially w/ humility and unity Showing a concern for each other Seeing and meeting the needs of one another Just as Jesus did! Therefore… (v12)

3 Work out your salvation…
What Does It Mean To “Work Out Our Salvation? Obedience and growth Making every effort to be pleasing to God… Work! Our Motivation to Work: God is at work in you. We are being coworkers w/ God Our Attitudes While Working Fear and trembling Not complaining against God Work out your salvation…

4 Being “Bright” Workers
Our cooperating with God can make us blameless and without fault (or blemish) God gives us what we are working for. We become more like Christ and ready for eternity We become even brighter luminaries in the dark world that we currently shine as lights in We must hold fast to God’s word to make this happen Being “Bright” Workers

5 Examples of “Bright” Workers
Paul (vss 16b-18) Desired to see that they were faithful to Jesus on the Day of Christ Willing to die for the faith and salvation of others Timothy (vss 19-24) A “kindred spirit” with Paul… of the same mind Sincerely cared for the Philippians Sought the interests of Christ Epaphroditus (vss 25-30) A worker and soldier for Christ Risked his life for the Gospel to serve Paul Examples of “Bright” Workers

6 “The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
