Paul’s letter to the Philippians has five specific purposes:
First, Paul wanted to express his thanks in writing to the church in Philippi for their prayers, encouragement and financial support for his ministry. Second, Paul wanted the Philippians to understand why he was sending Epaphroditus back to them.

Thirdly, Paul wanted to update them about what was happening in Rome Fourth, he wanted to exhort them in unity Fifth, and lastly, he wanted to warn them against false teachers

What situations tend to make you joyful?
What situations do you allow to steal your joy? If you were to search for someone who is joyful, where would you look?

An attitude of satisfaction or delight based upon positive circumstances that are largely beyond their control.

Joy, is not dependent upon chance or our circumstances
Joy, is not dependent upon chance or our circumstances. As believers, our circumstances do not dictate the quality of our joy. Regardless of and in spite of our circumstances, we must choose Joy!

Nehemiah 8:10 10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
