1 TEAM OFFENSE COMMUNICATION TERMINOLOGY PHILOSIPHIES “OPEN” = NO CREASE
“13” = 1-3-2 “14” = 1-4-1 ”DEUCES” = 2-2-2

2 OFFENSE Our offense formations start from X
OPEN – “WHEEL” – NO ONE ON THE CREASE DIAMOND – 1–4-1 DEUCES “13” – 1-3-2

3 COMMUNICATION Listen for offense calls from coaches only.
Offense call must be mirrored by all offense players “One player yells “13”, then all on and off offense players repeat the call. Talk to other players (Instruct players where to go) On settled inbound plays, make sure everyone on field is in appropriate positions.

4 Areas On the field POINT WING WING RED ZONE X

5 Other on field Terms Box - the penalty box, where time assessed for fouls is served. 2: the coaches box. GLE - An imaginary line that extends straight out from the sides of the goal line Restraining Box - area in offensive end of the field marked by one solid like and two hashed lines Midline - the line bisecting the field. Alley – Area created b/w side of restraining box and sideline Island – 5-7 yards to the left and right of the goal

6 Offensive Philosophies
Communication (Listen to coaches and teammates) Run Smart Offense - Understand the situation. Inside out Offensive Formations – “Roll” = Motion and “Heavy” = Strong Side Defense is a SYSTEM = Predictability Offense is based out of a formation = Predicated on player’s imagination, skills and familiarity with each other. Help each OTHER and TALK!!! Help AHEAD and BEHIND.

7 Offensive Options Option 1 = Shot (Look to SCORE)
Based on how the defense reacts to our offensive sets Option 1 = Shot (Look to SCORE) Option 2 = Middle (Inside Out) Option 3 = Pass Ahead or Behind. Option 4 = Skip Pass (Last option, If instructed) Option 5 = Reset (Re-Dodge)

8 Transition Be alert on the sideline. Blue – Flat Break/Point
Orange – Slow break through X (secondary break) Yellow – SLOW DOWN !!!! (Take air out the ball) “OPEN” SET - (Settle the ball and move around perimeter) OFFENSE

9 “OWU” - OPEN Primary Offense set off a Clear/Zone Defense.
Use set to settle the ball / Eat the Clock Get right personnel on the field No one on the crease. When we are rolling, we are triangle rotating. Draw and Dump (Run away)
