3. Record Book Info & Workshops
Updated forms are available on County Website under “Resources” tab
Two workshops will be offered in February
General Record Book Workshop on February15th 6:30- 8:00pm
Will use paper forms and review what the purpose of record books are and how to complete a competition-level book.
Online Record Book (ORB) Workshop on February 16th 6:30-8:00pm
We will review how to log into and navigate ORB
Assumes that participants know basics of record books (ex: what the difference between a PDR and APR is)
Individuals should bring a laptop or tablet and extension cord
No pre-registration for either workshop, and participants may attend one or both depending on their needs and interests.

4. Club Leadership Meetings
Ariel is trying to meet with club leadership of each group over the next few months.
At least the CCL, plus any key adult volunteers, officers, and other teens who are interested.
Will review some tools, policies, and resources that have come out in recent years.
Choose a time and location that works for your group.
Takes about an hour, or as long as you want to talk to Ariel.
CCL gets an awesome binder and PowerPoint!

5. Clover Overnight Camp Modeled after program in Stanislaus
Would use Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center
Families would provide own equipment
Nominal registration fee to cover food and materials
Activities run by older youth
Will need a team of volunteers to help plan and implement!

6. USDA Report Update
USDA’s goal for all counties in CA is to reach 3% of youth population by 2025 (approx. 5,464 kids)
Club Program: 705 youth
10.5% increase from (638)
Non-Club Programs: 85 youth
Huge decrease from (690)
Also should achieve parity (4-H enrollment demographics are reasonably close to county demographics)
Still highly out of parity for Hispanic, Black, Asian, and male demographics.

7. USDA Report Update Where do we go from here?
Continue your recruitment! 10.5% increase in one year is AWESOME!
Look for opportunities to reach out to a variety of populations.
County Office is working on new programs in addition to opening new clubs.
Day camps, afterschool partnerships, etc.
Will be able to do more when we have an Advisor again.
