2. Why Kitchen ??
Kitchen is the place where most of accident / mishaps take place
Most of the accidents take place due to unattended electric stove OR due to users ignorance of a hot item kept on the stove
Our project addresses both these issues .

3. Project Requirements (sensor only )
Pressure sensors (Or RFID ): To detect the presence of a person in the kitchen
Temperature Sensor : To determine if the foodstuff kept is hot or not
Chemical Sensors : To detect whether the food stuff kept is burnt
--(with the regular ATLAS platform stuff )

4. Working
CASE 1: When a person enters the kitchen with hot object in his vicinity .
The presence and the hot object would be sensed by the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor resp. When both the things would be TRUE an alarm would be triggered (so that the person becomes aware)
CASE 2: In the absence of a person , if food gets burnt .
The chemical sensor will detect any smoke or burnt foodstuff and will trigger an alarm
