7 Practice Plan and Preparation

8 Game Plan and Preparation
Player rotation or system that is fair. Every Player Plays half the game. Players should be rotating positions in all leagues (with the exception of tournament play). Knowledge of rules (included in your packet) Knowledge of key dates

9 Picture Day October 1st is picture day for Capitol View Park (U12)
October 15th is picture day for Lakeview Park Leagues October 10th is picture day for Monday night LK Parents will want to arrive 1 hour early in order to start games timely. 2 Locations at Lakeview Park Coach form must be filled out Pictures that are purchased will be mailed to the player’s home.

10 Inclement Weather Procedure
PRACTICE CANCELLATIONS are up to the COACHES. Please contact your team in the case of cancelling and the Y in order to schedule a make up practice if desired. If Games are cancelled parents will be informed via Playerspace. Parents can choose text or options

11 To Remember: Practices will begin the week of August 29th and Games begin Sept. 10th . There will be no practices the week of October 3rd Please contact your parents as soon as possible to introduce yourself and inform them of their practice day and time. First time contact should be a phone call. Game schedules will be ed out to parents. You can also view them at anytime at ygametime.com

12 Snack Schedules Encourage Healthy Snacks
Players should bring water to practices and games. Encourage water over sugary drinks. Encourage parents to bring snacks like fruits, veggie packs, crackers. Website on Healthy Eating –

13 Coaches Practices and games for LittleKickers-U10 will be held at Lakeview Park Practices and games for U12 and U14 will be held at Capitol View Park All soccer players will need to come with a soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards. The Y will provide a jersey, shorts and socks. Jerseys/shorts/socks will be available to pick up at the Y beginning Tuesday, Sept 6th Players will be given the size as noted on the team roster, regardless of fit so that everyone receives the size they requested. Please do not give someone a better fitting size unless all of your players already have a jersey.

14 E-Learning for Coaches
To help you with your season, we’ve provided concise e-learning lessons that contain education on the philosophy of YMCA Youth Sports, basic coaching techniques that include practice plans, skills, drills, rules and tactics of the sport, and valuable volunteer resources. Certificates of completion can be printed at the end of each session.

16 Annual Giving Campaign
The YMCA’s goal is to not turn away anyone due to inability to pay. In 2015 the Frankfort YMCA awarded a little over $200,000 in financial aid scholarships to youth, teens, and families in Franklin, and surrounding counties
