Program Introduction attend school at a high rate,
Child First Authority is a community based organization that functions to provide academic and social support to the youth of Baltimore. CFA works with students and families to ensure that students: attend school at a high rate, have access to project-based learning opportunities and academic support have access to professional art and cultural instruction

Inclusion Child First Authority, Inc. at F.L. Templeton Preparatory Academy seeks to create an inclusive, welcoming, and diverse environment that encourages children of all abilities to develop their skills and talents in the academic, enrichment, and social realms. Our staff will continuously work with students and their families to identify and provide the most successful experience for each student.

Schedule Program days and hours are as follows:
Monday through Thursday 2:25 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (dismissal starts at 5:00 p.m.) Snack Academic Hour Enrichment Hour Dinner Dismissal

Program Expectations for parents
Mandatory Parent Orientation Mandatory Volunteer Hours (2 hours a month) Partnership and support Positive and consistent help Student pick-up

Quarter Assemblies First day of programming

Closings Every second Tuesday of the month we will not have programming due to a school wide staff meeting Families will be reminded of closings Any other closings will be shared at least three days in advance except in cases of emergencies

Behavior There is a zero tolerance for any behavior that is not safe, respectful, or responsible With the exception of fighting, students will receive three warnings to correct inappropriate behavior before suspension is enacted for three days Fighting will automatically constitute a three day suspension from the program for any parties involved

Early/Late Pick-Up Program funding = participant attendance
Early pick-ups and attendance will be monitored More than two occurrences in a week related to early pick-up or attendance will result in a warning Failure to immediately improve (next week) attendance will result in your child’s removal from programming

Accidents, Incidents, Concerns, and Questions
Any accidents or incidents that take place during program hours will be documented by the completion of an accident/incident report sheet Please see Ms. Ballard or Ms. Felix for any concerns related to Child First
