RAS system is an new trend in aquiculture in recent years. Concern over increase demand aquifer Taiwan and desire to increase healthy fish production without drug.
Aqua-fisher EEL farmer partner locate in the East of Taiwan( 台東) where is famous for the clean water , no air pollution area , healthy environment for living . The EEL pound is not as other traditional pound which use the drug to keep eel healthy and high production . We use the RAS (Recirculating aquaculture systems) system to keep the fresh and healthy environment for fish. We can guarantee the live EEL or Process EEL w/o any drug for user.

2. Why our EEL different from traditional ?
We have big investment for RAS system to keep fish healthy which is different from low cost way
We insist no drug – only clean water and food for fish
We can support small quantity for live EEL and process EEL
Taiwan only has 2-3 factory which allowed to produce EEL and export to Japan and EU. We choose the top one from the 3 . We do not use any local small factory to make our EEL
Each lot of Live EEL have the certificate which approved by third party test company
Process factory which approved by HACCP, EU,Halal, TGAP certificate.
Except the RAS equipment , we also clean pool 1-2 time per day by worker to keep the water quality.

5. Why our RAS cost high?
RAS system require serial treatment to maintain water quality in farm. These steps need high investment in equipment, maintain and train staff to make sure the pool environment healthy and maximize fish grow and healthy w/o drug help.
The main process :
Bio-filtration : convert ammonia (NH4+ and NH3) excreted by the fish into nitrate. High ammonia are toxic to fish . The nitrifying bacteria can convernt ammonia into nitrite then nitrate.
Solid reomoval:Removing solids reduces bacteria growth, oxygen demand, and the proliferation of disease. Except filter system, we also hire work to clean pool as we think it can ensure all remove from pool.
