2. PROBLEM Two car collision (Ford Taurus & Honda Accord)
Both parties involved make different statements regarding facts of accident.

Accord failed to stop before entering intersection causing collision.
Observed Accord driving “kind of fast.”
Scenario 2
Accord
Stopped prior to entering intersection, then was struck by Taurus.
Never saw Taurus prior to getting hit.

Major damage across entire front end.

Recreate crash scene environment from police sketch diagram.
Gather information from both vehicle drivers to produce two separate crash scenarios.
Assume weight of Taurus and Accord to be approximately 3000lb and 2000lb, respectively.

Velocity = 40 mph southbound

Velocity = 34 mph eastbound

8. Scenario 1: Taurus approaches intersection at 40 mph
Accord fails to stop at sign and enters the intersection causing collision.

11. Conclusion
Given the areas of damage, it is apparent that the Taurus collided into the Accord; however, in the absence of witnesses, the Accord did not yield the right-of-way the Taurus, thus the fault lies with the driver of the Accord.
