-Usually a dozen or more acts in 1 show.

-It’s often described as a farce with music.
-More or less Vaudeville is a family affair.

7. Important People B.F. Keith
He began his career as a traveling circus barker in the 1870’s and later owned a dime museum in boston that featured “Baby Alice the Midget Wonder” and other curious acts. Keith opened a string of theaters in Boston area and soon spread them across America and Canada. His great success allowed him to built the Bijou theatre, a lavish,fireproof theater. Later Keith was know as the “father of American Vaudeville.”
