Judgement on development need and why
Ineffective use of time: Review the demonstration as it was too long. A shorter demonstration in stages would have been more beneficial to learning. Display objectives in a visual manner as well as verbal. Insufficient developmental feedback: ensure that all students understand what they need to do to improve. Display learning objectives throughout the session to support evaluation of learning at the end of the lesson. Whilst discussed, these were not available for students to view, during teaching and to review progress. Use of directed questioning: although students are continually assessed in their practical work. Demonstrations should be shown to whole class. Embed some further in depth questioning during Q & A sessions.
