2 Buckingham Palace is the official royal residence since There are 600 rooms in it. The famous Changing-of-the-Guard Ceremony takes place at its front gates.

3 The Changing of the Guard is one of the famous ceremony near Buckingham Palace to be done every day!

4 The Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament stretches along the Thame’s North bank. The Union Jack (the flag of the U.K.) flies only when the Parliament is in session.

5 Big Ben Big Ben is a tower of the Houses of Parliament with a huge bell in the clock. It has boomed out the hours since 1859.

6 Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey is one of the most famous churches in the U.K. Most British kings and queens were crowned and buried there.

7 British Museum is one of the largest world’s museums. It shows works of art from Asia, Egypt, Rome, Greece, Britain, and other countries.

8 Tower Bridge London has many bridges over the Thames, but the most interesting of them is the Tower Bridge.

9 Tower of London The Tower of London is an old castle with high walls , small windows and large gardens. Once it was a Royal residence.

10 The raven master According to legend, if the ravens leave the Tower of London, the British kingdom will cease to exist. In the Tower's there is a man - the raven master - which feeds the ravens and oversees them.

11 Trafalgar Square is the place for marches, political meetings, demonstrations. On holiday evenings there are a lot of people in the square.

12 Madame Tussaud’s Waxworks Museum
Madame Tussaud’s is an exhibition of hundreds of lifesize wax models of famous people of yesterday and today. The collection was started by Madame Tussaud, a French modeller in wax, in the 18-th century.

14 Hyde Park Hyde Park is used for every kind of public occasion. The corner of Hyde Park near Marble Arch is known as Speaker’s Corner. If you have anything to say you can go there and express your opinions to the crowd.
