PROYECTO: Nuestro desfile de Modas Student Instructions Overview: You are helping to present the Fall/ Winter/Spring/ or Summer collection for your company. How can you influence the fashion in your school? In this project, you will identify and describe what you and another person are wearing (including color, size, fabric) and any accessories. You will also ask and answer questions in regards to the fashion and the clothes that you or someone else is wearing. You will learn about Spanish speaking designers and create your own fashion show. PROYECTO: Nuestro desfile de Modas Student Instructions Task: I. PREPARACIÓN- Work with your group (four). Conduct research on one of the famous speaking fashion designers (Cristobal Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta, Lazaro Hernandez, Narcisco Rodriguez, Carolina Herrera, Robert Rodriguez) and answer the following questions 1. ¿Quién es el/la diseñador/a? _________________________________________________________ 2. ¿De dónde es el/la diseñador/a? ________________________________________________________ 2. ¿En qué ciudades hay tiendas del diseñador? __________________________________________ 3. ¿Cómo es la ropa del diseñador? ________________________________________________________ 4. ¿Te gusta la ropa? _____________________________________________________________________ II. Once you have researched your designer, identify the two models, the journalist, and the announcer of each group. This will be your individual role in the group. Models (Modelos): You will be responsible for walking during the fashion show and answering questions about your clothing/what you are wearing to the press. Journalist (El/la periodista): You will be asking the models about their clothing and general questions about fashion, etc. Announcer (el/la presentador/a): You will be in charge of announcing what your models are wearing during the fashion show. *Please note that everyone in the group is responsible for writing about what the models are wearing and helping each other prepare for his or her individual oral portion of the project. Los Modelos/El/la periodista
PRESENTACIÓN: Create your own fashion show. As a group, write two descriptions of what the models are wearing during the fashion show (all group members are responsible for writing this down). Introduce the model with his or her name, age, where he/she is from, and a detailed description of what he or she is wearing. This will be similar to what the Announcer (el/la presentador/a) presents during the show. PRACTICA: You may not read from your description when presenting. PREGUNTAS ESENCIALES- During the fashion show, the models and the journalist will be responsible for answering questions about what they are wearing and the clothing in general. Review these questions with your group so that you all are prepared for the fashion show. Depending on your role, you will practice how to announce, ask or answer questions. You are determined to have your design company be number one at fashion week when it is presented! PRACTICA- Work with your group and practice your roles.. As you practice with your group, seek their feedback to correct errors you have made to improve your overall performance. Student Learning Assessment: Students will be assessed on how well they sustain a conversation, how complete the presentation is and how well you use new and previously learned vocabulary and structures. Note: A detailed Rubric has been provided for this project
