Background of the National Training Fund
Established with support of ADB (1997 – 2003) Finance the training from both government and non-government fund: $3.13 million Medium and long-term training Provide skill training response to the market demand NTF including two financing facilities: The training grant fund The self-employment generation fund

Trained 13,100 participants in 53 skill areas Spending in average of $147 per trainee Beneficiaries Poorest people 38.1% School leavers 25.2% Orphans 15.1% Widows 9.9% Disabled soldiers 6.3% Handicapped 5.5%

Self-employment generation fund
Providing micro-credit loan ranging from $ Amount: $1.4 million Beneficiaries: 5,650 members (1,750 groups) Micro-enterprise Seaweed growing TV & radio repair Bamboo basket making Silk weaving Animal raising Masonry Food processing Stone carving Hairdressing Silk worm raising Motorbike repair - Business income: $400 – 900 per annum

Sustainability of the training fund
Continue to finance by the government: Prime Minister Special Fund In the last three years trained: 51,320 members (1,971 courses) Additional support for trainee: food ($1/day) Accommodation (10$/month) National Employment Agency – NEA (2009) ( Employment service Labour market information
