First James addresses the rich , warning them of the pitfalls of the power of wealth and the judgement that follows its abuse,
He speaks of the hope in suffering & He seeks to strengthen the faithful in their common life as disciples of Jesus.
he returns to the matter of speech, that he initially addressed in Chapter3 ‘to speak the truth without resorting to swearing by heaven or by earth.
Then he reminds his readers of the tremendous power of prayer. And urges them to take care of each other. 1

3. Patience in suffering
when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.Job 23:10-11

4. 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[f] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

5. The Power of Prayer
Having said a lot about faith and works, James concludes his letter by turning his readers attention to the one thing that is necessary - PRAYER.
