3. About the Event
The Treasure Valley YMCA has organized the Harrison Classic for over 30th years to encourage youth to get outside and be healthy. The goal of this event is to finish! Each finisher receives a medal.
We encourage schools to participant by offering awards to the top 2 schools with the most participants.
At the finish line celebration each child is given a healthy snack . The celebration includes bounce house and music, family friend vendors

5. Security Plan & Traffic Control Plan
The course goes down Harrison Blvd, we run across hill road, then enter the parking lot of The Pursuit
We work closely with BPD, BME and REACT on the course to help control intersections volunteers to create a safe route for participants and the neighborhood

6. Traffic Plan Information
The event starts at 3 p.m. We will be closing off all north and south bound traffic at 2:45 p.m. Cross traffic will be allowed during the event to go east or west across Harrison Blvd. We will have 2 Boise Police Officers and 6 Boise Escort Service officers to assist with the traffic Plan. We also will have 4 React officers.
7 waves of children every 5 minutes starting at McCauley Park on the south end of the Harrison at Hays Street. We will be stopping traffic east and west bound on Hill road as runners will be allowed to run through that intersection.
The finish is at the Pursuit parking lot. We will have flaggers working one way traffic on the West side of Bogus Basin road alternating up Bogus and down bogus. The Boise Escort will be managing this one way traffic with assistance for Boise React.
The event will be over at 3:45p.m. and all traffic will be allowed to flow normally at this time.
