On the top of the index card, write today’s date. Then write today’s verb and draw a picture to help you remember the meaning of the verb On the back side of the same index card, write the meaning of the verb in English.
Write a sentence in Spanish saying…..
“I fell in love with (actor) since (name of movie/TV show).”

3. MSM LANGUAGE AWARDS CEREMONY
On Friday, April 24th all language students will get an extended lunch to attend the Awards Ceremony.
Students should report to the gym Don’t go to your homeroom!
We will be giving out awards for the following: National Spanish Exam, Spanish Honor Society, & student achievements in the classroom.
Bring your lunch & a drink! The language teachers will provide dessert.
Parents are welcome to attend. 

4. QUIZ TIME: Vocab. Quiz #21 – Ch. 9 Sect. 1-4
Take out a sheet of paper and number from 1 to 10. Don’t forget to write your heading! Flip your paper over when you finish and then SIT QUIETLY! You can put your head down on your desk, draw a picture, or write me a note while you wait for your classmates to finish testing! 

You should be checking & correcting your answers!

6. Ch. 9 Goals “Las fiestas”
Learn vocabulary to talk about celebrations, the stages of life (birth, marriage, etc.), & relationships
Using the question words ¿Qué? & ¿Cuál? in context
Review: How to conjugate irregular verbs in the preterite tense (Ser, Estar, Dar, Tener, Hacer, etc.)
How to use verbs that change meaning in the preterite tense in context
Using prepositional pronouns (with me, with you, etc.)

7. Práctica Oral (en grupos)
You will each get a worksheet called “Irregular Preterite Conversation & Writing Activity”
Your partner signs their name on your paper after they respond to your question in Spanish!
You MUST respond to their question with more than a “yes” or “no”!

8. Homework (La tarea): WB pg. 99 in your cuaderno de práctica.
[On WB pg. 99 Activity 4, you have to find your
verb and then change it to the preterite tense!]
NOTE:
Hay means “there is / there are” (present tense).
The preterite form is Hubo (“there was / there
were”)
