The Course begins with the practical aspects – read the lessons then by the process of synthesis, goes deeper to the principles, and to the ultimate value of synthesis Lesson 10, Maharishi’s inauguration of VOA - the unified value of agriculture. From the unified value it emerges by the process of analysis to the principles – read lessons and the practical aspects – lessons , but this time all in terms of unity. Maharishi explained this principle of gaining Total Knowledge in terms of going to school: the child goes to school, and then he knows how to get there. But he doesn’t yet know the way back home. Only when he walks back home from school does he know the whole story. Total Knowledge is gained when both paths have been traversed: analysis and synthesis.
