4. Introduction Paul preached the resurrection of Christ
His resurrection was prophesied in the scriptures
The scriptures are inspired - 2 Timothy 3:16, 17
They are God Breathed
Therefore the word of God is Truth - John 17:17
Truth then is according to God’s word
No other means to determine Truth
We will look at common misunderstandings concerning Truth
2 Tim. 3: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Jn. 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Pilot asked - What is truth?
37  Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38  Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.” (John 18:37–38, NKJV)
Psa. 119:89 - For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Therefore, feelings are not the standard
Feelings can be faulty, deceptive and biased

Feelings can be misguided by a faulty conscience

Eph. 4:19 - Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
“past feeling” = When one is past feeling (apēlgēkotes), he ceases to care. He desists from grief. He becomes insensitive and callous. He is insensible to honor, shame, guilt, and other similar emotions.
