Sociological Theory of Deviance
Karl Brandt had a very different life which lead to him to make a lot of bad decisions in adulthood. Psychological and sociological fit his case. In the psychological category, Karl’s father was a Prussian army officer which set standards for him. I believe that Karl’s father would be hard on him so he would do good in life. I think Karl became a Nazi to live in his fathers legacy. I think Karl was raised strictly witch a set of rules set in stone. I also believe he fits in the sociological category for many reasons too. It probably also has a lot to do with his father and peer pressure. The main, cool, and noble thing to do was join the Nazi group. I feel like Karl felt an obligation to be a Nazi. I also feel like Karl couldn’t say no to Hitler when he asked him to be in charge of the euthinasia program. I feel like part of Karl wanted to do all of these things but then I also believe he got pulled into some of this stuff.
