Review MAP- a flat diagram of all or part of the earth’s surface.
LATITUDE- the east-west lines on a map or globe, often called parallels. LONGITUDE- the north-south line on a map or globe, often called meridians. These line pass through the Poles

WORDS TO KNOW TITLE- shows the subject of the map
COMPASS ROSE- a tool that shows all four cardinal directions (N,E,S,W) SCALE- gives distances in miles and kilometers LEGEND (KEY)- explains the symbols on a map
