2. Briefing Room Background
A standardized solution for education/training scenarios built to be easy to use, install and manage
Based on thorough studies of best practices in the education vertical, tailored around three user scenarios: local presenter, remote presenter and discussions
Based on the SX80 Codec with Touch 10 as the input device
Installation and configuration in three easy steps:
Install equipment as described in Project Workplace
Connect the cables as described in Admin Guide
Change the setup of the codec by selecting room type training

3. Briefing room
Setting up standard meeting room systems for Round Table discussion is easy.
If you want to solve more complex scenarios, like allowing for Standing up and presenting in front of Audience, you have to turn to Custom solutions.
With latest version of Project Workplace and software for SX80 (TC 7.2) this is simplified greatly.

4. Project Workplace Training Room Example
Two standardized rooms in Project Workplace:
Briefing room, 24 seat classroom style (can be solved with horse shoe table as well)
Auditorium, 100 seat auditorium
Briefing room example here:
Two screens in front with SpeakerTrack 60 (can be single camera as well with different screen sizes)
One screen on the side with Precision 60 Camera (can be placed in the back of the room as well)
We use 3 Audio Science microphones to cover the room

The user experience is tailored around 3 user stories:
Local presenter, when the presenter is in the room
Remote presenter, when the presenter is calling in from a remote location
Discussion, for interactive discussion between different sites with local presenter at the podium
Some presenters prefer discussion over local presenter as it allows for more interaction between sites
The key challenge is how to shift between the different modes.
In the current version the manual mode change is to change Layout on Touch 10
In addition you can change between local – and remote presenter by starting to share presentation

7. One Solution That Scales
The basic principal for local presenter (stand up and present in front of audience) scales from standard meeting rooms to an auditorium.

The SX80 with Touch 10 is the core of the solution.
We recommend SpeakerTrack 60 for audience camera if room is up to 10 meters distance to the audience.
We recommend Audio Science microphones for good coverage of the room, but any microphone solution can be used.

From TC 7.3 the installation becomes even easier with MX800 as the platform.
