SYSTEMA Overview Description
SYSTEMA is a software product line for space engineering The objective of SYSTEMA is to gather in the same environment and using the same model representation a large set of applications (environment, thermal, power …) SYSTEMA integrates: An open framework consisting of interactive toolboxes to build the spacecraft geometry, define its orbit, its kinematics, specify a mission scenario A set of dedicated application in various technical fields (thermics, radiation, power…)
3
SYSTEMA: The key features
Clear separation between framework and applications Easy to develop new applications for specific use Easy to maintain and make evolutions Software standards based Helps exchanges between tools (XML for all input/output files, HDF5 for large computation results) Modularity Rich platform support Windows 7, Windows XP, Linux, (Unix) Modern and intuitive ergonomics
4
SYSTEMA an interdisciplinary tool suite
Applications Propulsion Power RF Thermics Fluid dynamics Radiations Space environment Electro-magnetism SYSTEMA Environment Properties Geometry Mission Trajectory Kinematics Network 2D 3D Video Schematics User interface DMU CAD Simulation
5
Perform End-to-End Modelling
SYSTEMA framework Perform End-to-End Modelling SYSTEMA Import or Generate Geometrical Model + Physical Properties Advanced Trajectory into the Solar System Complex Kinematics Set and Configure Mission Scenario Computation Diagram Parametric Data Perform analysis Postprocess and display results Animation 3D, 2D Table, etc.
6
Systema applications The SYSTEMA functionalities and applications are continuously extended to fit the user needs: Current applications available in the V4 environment Thermica Plume for plume impingement GTD for antenna / structure interactions and EMC analysis Dosrad for dose and shielding Power (flux computation)
7
Axes of development wrt Digital Engineering
Integration with external tools / data CAD interface: smooth interface, computation on CAD model Mechanical interface and volumes management: management of FEM (surface, volume) Post-processing Performances Very large model (1 M), multi-threading, grid, cloud
