If you missed your HPV vaccination at school there will be a second opportunity to have this. You will also receive a letter to invite you along for HPV if you have missed your vaccination.
Remember: You need TWO doses of the MMR vaccine to fully protect yourself from measles, mumps and rubella.

22. Edinburgh Zoo trip Important Info!!
Could all S2 (previous S1) pupils hand their trip money £9.50 into the office/Miss McCardle by Tuesday morning (21st June) at the latest.
Also could you inform Miss McCardle by this date if you can be picked up/make your way home when we arrive back at school after usual 3:30 pm finish time (nearer 4.00 pm - 4:15 pm) so we can stay a little longer at zoo (see Penguin Parade).

27. RUTS are looking to recruit a representative from Lasswade High School who is in S4 – S6 to participate in a youth panel made up of young people from each high school in Midlothian. The group will help shape RUTS Climate Challenge project that aims to encourage lower carbon behaviours through cycling and other methods of active travel. Learn to become a fully trained motor vehicle technician. General duties to include cleaning cars, changing tyres, helping the mechanics complete jobs and any other associated tasks.

You will attend college one day a week to work towards an SVQ in vehicle maintenance and repairs. The remainder of time will be working in the garage.

Based at our Fushiebridge Depot, near Gorebridge you'll start July/August on our Trainee Roadworker Scheme, tailored to give you formal training combined with practical, supervised on-the-job training – and a recognised qualification at the end of it.
Requirements You should have or expect to achieve three National4 qualifications, ideally in Maths, English and a Science subject. You should also be able to demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to learn new skills. A willingness to work outside in all weathers and in a team environment is also essential. In addition you should be prepared to obtain a provisional / full driving licence in the course of the training programme.
Pay
£15,647 - £16,323 per annum.
