2 The Blue-Throated Macaw
The Blue-Throated Macaws are critically endangered in their native country which is Bolivia. An estimated 73 to 87 adults are left in the wild.

3 Green-Checked Amazon Parrot
The Green-Checked Amazon parrot is an endangered parrot native to Mexico. The population of these parrots is around 3,500 to 6,500.

4 Yellow-Eared Parrot The yellow-eared parrot is an endangered bird native to parts of South America. The species was discovered to be extinct, until 81 species were discovered.

5 Kakapo The Kakapo is critically endangered. It’s the world’s heaviest parrot, but it is flightless. The population of kakapo had grown 62 percent, from 51 to 85 birds.

6 Sun Conure The Sun Conure is a small conure native to south america. It’s a very popular pet, but its endangered in the wild. An estimated 1,000 to 2,500 adults in the population

7 Hyacinth Macaw The hyacinth macaw is the world’s largest parrot, and it’s endangered in the wild. BirdLife estimates there are around 4, 300 mature adults are in the wild.

8 Spix’s Macaw The Spix’s Macaw has a tragic story, habitat loss and the pet trade are driving this bird into extinction in its native home of Bahia, Brazil. In total there are 93 Spix’s Macaws in captivity.

9 Maroon-Fronted Parrot
The Maroon-Fronted Parrot is an endangered parrot native to Mexico. BirdLife estimates there are 1,000 to 2,499 adults in the wild. The World Parrot Trust estimates there are 1,000 to 2,499 adults in the wild.

10 Buffon’s Macaw The Buffon’s Macaw or Great Green Macaw is an endangered bird native to Central America and South America. The total population is around 1,000 to 2,500 birds.

11 Thick-Billed Parrot The Thick-billed parrot is an endangered parrot native to Mexico. Bird Life estimates there are 1,000 to 4,000 parrots and 2,000 to 2,800 mature individuals.
