Hebrews 2:6-10 (NLT) The Scriptures say, “What are mere
mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him? Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,”... (cont’d) Hebrews 2:6-10 (NLT)

Hebrews 2:6-10 (NLT) ...it means nothing is left out. But we
have not yet seen all things put under their authority. What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace... (cont’d) Hebrews 2:6-10 (NLT)

Hebrews 2:6-10 (NLT) ...Jesus tasted death for everyone.
God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation. Hebrews 2:6-10 (NLT)

Being #1 doesn’t make us happy,
it makes us worry.
9
So don’t worry about these things,
saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Matthew 6:31-32 (NLT)

will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
14

We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But
this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:41-43 (NIV)

Luke 9:57-62 (NIV) As they were walking along the road,
a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” (cont’d) Luke 9:57-62 (NIV)
21
Luke 9:57-62 (NIV) Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury
their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:57-62 (NIV)
