KELDI NEESON WAS THE WINNER AND IS OUR NEW SCHOOL PRIME MINISTER
REPORT ON THE ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT BY JUDE WILKINSON The rounders tournament at Beacon Hill on the 26th of June Jude Wilkinson, Kaye Beaty, Nathan Park, Louie Elliot, Liam Meek, Harry Littlefair, Alice Bowe, Jack Sim and Daniel Sanderson went to compete. They played against four different teams and finished first, with 44 points and beat every team, the teams were Silloth A, Silloth B, Plumbland and Blennerhasset! They won every game by more than ten points apart from Plumbland they beat them by eight points. Player of the tournament was Daniel Sanderson getting two full rounders and a dozen half-rounders. The best catch was when Jude Wilkinson jumped backwards and caught it with one hand. Everybody enjoyed it and had so much fun. SCHOOL ELECTIONS This week we have had an election to vote for a new School Prime Minister (Kaye Beaty has stepped down as she is moving to secondary school). The election was contested by 10 candidates. All the candidates produced a manifesto and canvassed other pupils for their vote. KELDI NEESON WAS THE WINNER AND IS OUR NEW SCHOOL PRIME MINISTER Extracts from her manifesto: I represent the Keldi & Co Party and I believe that every individual person counts and if we band together we will make a better community. If anyone tells me a suggestion I will ask Mrs Satterthwaite, and she will hopefully take it into consideration. I also think that I am responsible enough for this job because I’m always happy and listen carefully to other people’s opinions. I also will try to include the these events: Water fight day, football day and a fancy dress day. My Slogan: “Never fear Keldi is here to brighten up a new school” OUR MISSION STATEMENT Our unique school is fun, secure and flooded with love and joy, we aim high to meet stimulating, challenging targets taking our journey forward through life.

“SNAPCHAT SAFEGUARDING WARNING”
As we are aware that some of our children are on “Snapchat”, and the following has been brought to our attention: The users exact location can be tracked via the Snapchat app. This is an automatic/default setting which means that anyone linked via snapchat can locate exactly where the user is, even including the location within a specific building. For safeguarding purposes it is important to ensure that your child’s location is not disclosed that this function is DISABLED. To disable this, open the app, pinch the screen, the location will then be shown. At this point either click on the setting button (the cog) whilst on the screen and select the ‘ghost mode’, on some phones you need to select ‘next’ then select ‘ghost mode’. The icon of yourself on the map will then be displayed holding a Snapchat logo mask. If you are having difficulty disabling this function please contact school. Please remember to encourage your child/children to be safe when using social media.
