We are a national government agency.
We work proactively to strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish enterprises. And we strive for better conditions for both entrepreneurship and the development of attractive regional environments and regional growth.
Our vision is a growing number of Swedish entrepreneurs and enterprises with the ambition, capacity and courage to grow and thrive.

4. The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket) works to strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish companies by facilitating entrepreneurship and creating attractive environments for companies in the regions.
Based on our knowledge of the needs of companies and of Swedish regions, we build networks to facilitate cooperation and finance efforts to boost economic growth.
Our biggest single task is helping to ensure that EU funds are invested in projects that promote regional growth and employment.

Our most important tools are knowledge, networks and financing. Based on our knowledge of the requirements for enterprises and regions to grow, we build networks for cooperation and finance initiatives that strengthen the business sector and to boost economic growth.
The agency target small and medium-sized enterprises (SME:s) or future entrepreneurs directly. We also work to improve the general framework for doing business.

The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth has almost 400 employees. We work in nine locations around Sweden as yoy can see on the map.
Our offices are located in Arjeplog, Luelå, Östersund, Gävle, Stockholm, Örebro, Jönköping, Gothenburg and Malmö. Our head office is in Stockholm.
The agency was founded in Our Director General is Gunilla Nordlöf.
