8 Feedback General Comments:
To whom it may concern, I found the course a very engaging and productive undertaking, one which I am happy to have completed. The discussion forum was very productive towards my learning experience. I was particularly impressed with the amount of latitude and understanding shown by the course facilitators who have a very clear idea of the difficulties encountered by persons taking this course, work, family, real world commitments which were a demand on the students time and deadlines. I would like to thank all who are involved, especially Adrienne. Thanking you, Conor Cronin. I really enjoyed the course. The material was interesting and presented in a clear format. I'd very happily have done a degree this way. I considered that it was an excellent course and would have liked to have had more time available to me to participate. It would be worthwhile to have attended the workshop. Personally, I would have liked to have teased out some of the more complex areas by way of discussion /workshop - for example, the hearsay rule and its exceptions in the context of cross-examination or the interaction between the jury and judge in the context of admissibility and warning or dropping the shield are areas of particular practical difficulty. All in all, a worthwhile course leaving you with a thirst for more. in some of the online lectures the audio was very poor and it was difficult to hear what Shane was actually saying. See above re content. The on-line system and rate of new material worked very well. Well done to all involved. The course was excellent. I found the mix of online lectures, etivities, assignment and exam extremely good at encouraging active learning and understanding. The course deserves more than 10 CPD points though :-) with lecture, reading and etivity there was about 2 hours work per week x 12 weeks plus assignment and exam. Probably 40 hours work. Great course. Well delivered. Thank you. Overall a very good course, but tough at times, very good on-line course and I also enjoyed looking at other participants interpretations of the law, the feedback from the tutors on the discussion forums was very beneficial. The only significant issue that I feel could do with improvement was the quality of sound on the recorded lectures. I had to have an extra speaker plugged into laptop, turned up to the last to hear Shane clearly. Other than that I very much enjoyed the course. I wouldn't be a studious person by any means and am very proud that I achieved a high grade in this exam. I'd also like some information on what's next (module 2?) and more similar online courses which ye have available. Thanks to all for a well presented enjoyable course. I found this course very interesting and it has given me further thingy on completing so e more study. Course was excellent, it would be nice if a full time degree/masters could be done on line
