8 Remember how to write your summary of your points in 3a?
In the article Miss Norat shares her experiences of teaching year 11. In the article the writer/writers name verb eg. ‘describes’ topic of the text. First Next After that Following this Another thing we are told is In addition to this As well as ___________ we are told that… Then the writer tells us… The text begins to end by sharing that… Finally Find and label these in my example 3b summary.

9 In this text Sanjay Satoor explains how brilliant his electric skateboard is and why people should use it instead of cars. He first tells us about the weight of it, it is really light and weighs less than other transport like a bicycle. As well as telling us how light it is he explains that this means you can carry it anywhere. Following this he tells us that it is easy to use because you can charge it in 15 minutes and that it has a remote control so its easy to use. In addition to this he tells us that it is good for the environment because it uses less energy than a car and it only costs $1 to charge it up. That doesn’t mean that it’s not powerful though because it can go at a good speed. It can go at 20mph. Then he tells us that it can travel up to 10 km. Finally he says that it can go up hills so it really is a great item to buy.
