French Revolution to the Second World War Includes discussion of the topics of : Age of Enlightenment European Imperialism French Revolution System of Rival Alliances Napoleon & his empire World War I Congress of Vienna Russian/Bolshevik Revolutions Rise of Nationalism & Liberalism Paris Conference/Treaty of Versailles Industrial Societies & early Socialism Hitler, Mussolini & Rise of Fascism Revolutions of 1848 Great Depression Crimean War Road to World War II Italian & German National Unification

9 Key Course Policies Academic Honesty:
Academic integrity does not just mean that you don’t copy in exams; it also requires that you avoid plagiarism. All written assignments MUST include the plagiarism statement as written in the course outline & be signed by the student, or they will be considered not to have been handed in. Assignment Deadlines: - 2 points for every day overdue Attendance: Attendance is mandatory. In case of illness a valid doctor’s report must be provided.
