1 Need Knowledge Base Literature Review Purpose Hypothesis
The Effects of Alcohol on Short-Term Memory in Drosophila Melanogaster Alcohol has the largest death rate out of all other drugs disorders caused by alcohol have increased over the past 6 years Knowledge Base Short Term Memory Alcohol Olfactory training Literature Review LaFerriere, 07 Moore, 98 Control and chpd Comparison between Control and chpd Drosophila Moore, 98 Holly LaFerriere 2007 Purpose Hypothesis The purpose of this experiment is to demonstrate the effects of alcohol exposure on short term memory in drosophila. Null Hypothesis: the ethanol exposure will have no effect on the short term memory of Drosophila melanogaster. Alternate Hypothesis: the Drosophila exposed to ethanol will have impaired short term memory, and the Drosophila who are not, will not

Ethanol beaker Air pump Alcohol Exposure Exposure chamber Discussion The purpose of this experiment is to demonstrate the effects of alcohol exposure on short term memory in drosophila. Results demonstrated that exposure to alcohol impaired short term memory Performance Index: (Correct-Incorrect)-.5/.5 x100 Limitations Conclusion The number of trials for drosophila exposed to alcohol could have been higher and possible human errors. Data Supported the Alternate Hypothesis Future Studies Effects of alcohol on long term memory. Bibliography Bayard, Max. "Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome - March 15, American Family Physician."
