4 Field Trip to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC)
Friday, February 17 We will be meeting and doing activities with current UMBC students, taking a tour, and eating lunch in the University Union. LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE – First come, first serve. $10.00

5 Field Trip to UMBC Field trip scholarships are available – see your English teacher for the form. Scholarship applications will be reviewed and granted only if the student meets all of the stated criteria.

6 Field Trip to UMBC Forms will be collected Wednesday and THURSDAY of next week – BEFORE school in front of the main office. (2/8 and 2/9) Do not give your form or money to any of your teachers. They will only be accepted by Ms. Renzi on the designated days and times. No late forms will be accepted. *Sollers students will give it to me before they board their morning bus at 6:15 am.

7 Field Trip to UMBC Did I mention forms will be collected by Ms. Renzi before school on Wednesday and Thursday of next week? Did I mention that you should not give it to any other teacher before or after that time? Did I mention that there is limited space available for this trip – spots will be granted on a first come first serve basis?

When are the forms and money due? Where do you hand in your forms and money? How much does it cost? What will you do for lunch? Will all scholarship essays be accepted?

9 Financing College Night
February 17th from 5-7pm - open to all students and their families   9th/10th graders will have the opportunity to learn about CCBC's Parallel and Dual Enrollment Program and the Maryland 529 Savings Plan. 11th/12th graders will meet with Senator Klausmeier and discuss the Senatorial Scholarships and they will learn about FAFSA and MHEC. Mark your calendars!

10 Book Donations Needed The National English Honor Society (NEHS) is collecting children’s books (English & Spanish) for Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital until Monday, April 3rd in room 314. See Ms. Geckle for more information.

12 Service Learning Hours – and FUN!
Ms. Brown could use help! If you like to work on props, lights, music, publicity, costumes, hair, make-up or even building sets – the theater is the place for you! Talk to Ms. Brown in room 318 to find out more.

13 A Message from Your President Damilola
Attention ALL ninth graders! We need a Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian. Go to room 003 to get a Class Officer Permission and Teacher Recommendation Form Get involved! The more citizenship we show in our class, the more fun we will have.
