Vocabulary: Hominid is a modern human or a member of an earlier group that may have included ancestors or relatives of modern humans. (noun) Stone Age is a period of time during which hominids made lasting tools and weapons mainly from stone; the earliest known period of prehistoric culture. (noun) Nomad- a person who has not settled home. (noun) Domesticate is to adapt wild plants or tame wild animals and to breed them for human use. (verb)

Hominids: Scientists discovered footprints of humans (hominids) in dried mud It resembled the footprints of modern humans The footprints they found are about 3.5 million years old!

Stone Age Hunting and Gathering
When humans began to make stone tools it is the beginning of Stone Age Tools made out of stone, wood, animal bones Stone Age has 3 periods: 1. Old Stone Age 2. Middle Stone Age 3. New Stone Age
