Style definition *It is a traditional style.
*Depends on the sandy color scheme. *Use of wood, stone and plaster for ornamenting. *lacy bronze lanterns and mashrabiyah for decorating. *Textured walls. *Famous with palm trees.

History overview The most significant landmark in the History of Saudi Arabia is the formation of the first Saudi Arabian State in The state was formed mainly under the influence of Mohammed ibn Abd al Wahhab in 1938 that all the separate regions of this country merged to form the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Later, after the discovery of oil, the Saudi Arabian History underwent another massive upheaval making the rest of the world notice the country. Another turning point in the History of Saudi Arabia was the Gulf war of 1990 that initiated when Saddam Hussein's forces encroached upon Kuwait

Saudi Architecture *The Architecture of Saudi Arabia is ancient and renowned. *Saudi Arabian Architecture speaks oodles about the inherent artistry of its people. *the structures in the Saudi Arabian coast are made of limestone , mixture of clay and silt ,and coral. *use palm tree leaves and tree trunks to make pillars and roofs. *Stone and wood are used extensively for further ornamentation of the buildings.

Concept statement The concept is inspired from the Mashrabiyah. the use of wood mixes the modern and traditional style, the diverse uses of the Mashrabiyah in the modern design makes it a great element to give the identity of the Saudi style in the design. The plan is formed utilizing the pattern of the Mashrabiyah which creates a combination between the plan and the design elements, the shape of the Mashrabiyah used gives a great mixture of lines straight, curves and circles, which can be implemented well in the design to deliver the required feeling of the style.
