Antibiotics!
Your body will naturally try to fight the infection, but when it becomes too overwhelming, we need antibiotics.

Two types:
Bactericidal = KILLS the bacteria (interferes with cell wall)
Bacteriostatic = stops bacteria from multiplying or stops protein production

Definition… A microscopic particle capable of infecting cells of living organisms and inserting its genetic material.

A virus is made up of two main components:
Core of genetic material
Protein coat
Viruses are NOT cells. Therefore they do not contain any of the cell’s organelles.

2. A zombie pandemic threatens to cause the extinction of every human on the planet. When zombies bite humans, the infected humans eventually turn into the undead. It is unclear whether the cause of this transformation is a bacterium or virus. What steps should be taken by the CDC to prevent apocalyptic spread of the living dead?
