Last Year’s Developments
Major To create an Outstanding Learning Culture- increasing progress through improved attitudes to learning Improve Progress at KS2- ensuring pupils in KS2 are making expected progress or more Introduce the New Primary Curriculum into existing framework- incorporating the new curriculum into our existing framework ensuring development of learning skills Continuing Ensure Health and safety guidelines and procedures are effective, including educational visits -For communication of health and safety issues to be relevant , up to date and lead to improved practice. To improve the process of transition between year groups and key stages - ensuring that all pupils have a smooth transition between Key Stages. Monitor the effectiveness of the feedback and marking policy -Work is consistently marked in line with the policy and pupils receive constructive feedback to identify next steps. Continue to promote a digitally wise school -For IT to be an integral part of our curriculum and children and families to be safe users of the internet Monitor the impact of phonics and spelling in pupil progress- ensuring improved standards in spelling across all areas of the curriculum. Embed the homework policy and monitor its role in raising attainment -For homework to be an effective part of home school learning in line with school Homework policy

Major Developments To introduce an effective ‘Assessment without Levels’ system in school Outcome: To adopt a system of assessment that shows progress against the new national curriculum objectives ensuring coverage across year groups. Raising Attainment through Developing Leadership Outcome: Raised attainment through strategic and sustainable leadership in all areas of school development. Embed the new ‘Vision’ throughout the school Outcome: Have a school vision that is known and shared by all stakeholders and visible in all we do. Improve outcomes for Higher Attainers Outcome: At least 30% of pupils in each year group are working above age related expectations

Continuing Developments
Increase the rate of progress in writing and maths through feedback and response'. Outcome: All children making good levels of progress in maths and writing at an accelerated rate. (Linked to assessment without levels and data collection) To continue to embed a ‘Growth Mindset’ in teaching and learning Outcome: To increase progress through embedding an ‘Outstanding’ Learning Culture linked to improved behaviour and attitudes to learning Embed PSHEe in the new curriculum and in promoting positive behaviours Outcome: Evaluate the school with outstanding features in Behaviour in the Ofsted handbook 2015 Create a robust IT CPD programme to meet the needs of the new curriculum Outcome: Improved pupil attainment in IT skills in new curriculum

Emerging Developments
Developing an effective nurture class Outcome: An effective nurture class is running at Laughton Community Primary School and selected pupils have developed in their areas of need. To raise the Profile of Arts in the School Outcome: More Opportunities for children to take part in a range of quality Arts activities across the year. Successful application for ‘Artsmark’
