When and why are we going?
Thursday 13th July for 1 night,2 days Adaptability exit point Put all 6 westate6 skills to the test Preparation for Year 8 (adapting to the challenges) Celebrate the year

Who is joining us…

Where are we going? Cornbury Park is located near the Cotswold town of Charlbury, in Oxfordshire

What are we doing? Thursday 13th July
Arrive at School 6.45am – go to the Main Hall – sitting in learning sets Arrive in the Cotswolds for 9.00am We are walking to the camp… Activities throughout the day, including; Survival shelters, camouflage and concealment Evening Games Lights out (9:30pm)

What are we doing? (2) Friday 14th July: Early start and Breakfast
Activities throughout morning and early afternoon, including; trap making, fire lighting Strike Camp and ‘leave no trace’ Walk back to coaches and depart 3.30pm Arrive back at school 4.45pm

Where are we going? Cornbury Park
Must be sensible and careful at all times as the ground is uneven and potentially muddy (fingers crossed for sun!) Looking out for each other and supporting one another Respectful at all times

The Camp Year 7 will be split into two camps
You will stay in these ‘camps’ for the whole time Tent Preferences – You choose!

What to bring 1 bag with everything in (apart from sleeping bag/mat etc.) We are only going for one night, so your entire wardrobe is not needed! You will be spending a lot of time outside, and it could possibly be raining Warm, waterproof outdoor clothing (incase windy and rainy) Sensible shoes (walking boots would be good) Towels Toiletries

No money is needed – at all
What to bring (2) Also… Sleeping bag Roll mat/sleeping mat (something to sleep on) Torch Pillow (optional) No money is needed – at all

Valuables There is no need to bring any valuables of any kind – especially as there is no place to charge them. However, if you do bring a mobile phone, ipod etc. All at own risk Use responsibly

When do we get back? Should be around 4.45pm on Friday 14th
If we are late – a text will be sent home If your son/daughter has permission to walk home – Miss K O’Neill needs to be told this (by , phone, a note – between now and Thursday 22nd June)

Medication Any medication you are on needs to be handed to your Learning Leader on the morning that we leave before we get on the coach. Remember to take any travel sickness medicine the night before or before you leave for school in the morning. This includes painkillers, inhalers and travel sickness tablets. Medication must be clearly labeled with student name and dosage instructions.

What to do Now… Complete the preference slip and return to Miss K O’Neill by Monday 12th June. Purchase or borrow the below equipment: Arrive in the main hall at 6.45am on Thursday 13th July Return on Friday 14th July at 4.45pm. Sleeping bag Suitable warm layered clothing Roll mat/sleeping mat Change of clothes for each day Sensible footwear Torch
