Reapplying to HSUP You MUST reapply EVERY semester
Don’t miss the deadlines! Student Status Non-matriculated or non-degree seeking student
Eligible to take any 1000 or 2000 level courses Ineligible to take online or Honors level courses

Academic Standards University Regulations Academic Transcript
Held to all university policies that govern students No one knows you are a high school student Academic Transcript Generating an official college transcript Part of your permanent academic record Academic Status Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 Time Management You are responsible for your own schedule and assignments

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Federal law Protects the privacy of student educational records – any records directly related to the student maintained by the university Written consent is required for the release of information Federal law must be upheld at all times. Educational records include, but are no limited to, grades, transcripts, class schedules, health records, financial information, and discipline files. Students can complete/update the FERPA release forms within the student records of CIS.

Parking, Books, & ID Cards
Permits available for a year or a semester Textbooks Check tags for catalog and section number of course ID Cards Needed for library privileges, activities, and general campus use Must be registered for at least one course before obtaining an ID!

Last Day to Add Classes August 26, 2016 Tuition Due September 2, 2016 Last Day to DROP Last Day to WITHDRAW October 21, 2016 Last Day of Classes December 8, 2016 Finals Period December 12-16, 2016 Grades Posted December 28, 2016 Labor Day September 5, 2016 Fall Break October 9-16, 2016 Thanksgiving Break November 24-25, 2016 Holiday Recess December 17 – January 8 Spring breaks and other closure dates might be different than high school’s breaks. Students are expected to be in class whenever the university is in session. Thus, they may have a week of HSUP courses, but no high school classes and/or a week of high school classes with no HSUP courses. Drop – No assigned grad; full tuition refund Withdraw – A grade of “W” is assigned; no tuition refund; better than a grade of “F”

Mathematics Prerequisites Permissions Codes
Classes that must be completed before taking additional classes Permissions Codes Distributed directly by the Math Department Complete online request at math.Utah.edu Scan and test scores to Angie Gardner, Advisor – AP Calculus AB and BC test scores of 3 or better will waive the QA and QB requirement and place you into a higher level math. Always include uNID and student status (HSUP, non-matriculated) in any communication with departments.
