3. What is the Juntos Program?
A program that helps youth and parents gain the knowledge and skills needed to bridge the gap from high school to higher education for 8-12th grade youth

4. NC Juntos Team: Diana Urieta, Cintia Aguilar, and Andrew Behnke
Started in 2007 at NCSU with the Family Engagement workshops curriculum
Responds to the need to unify schools, families, and community efforts to prevent school dropouts and promote students access to higher education and parental involvement.
- Juntos is based on the belief that it takes the families, schools, and community to work together to achieve Latino student’s educational success.
Juntos is driven by the needs of our families and their communities and it’s our goal to recognize and respect the specific characteristics and needs of this population

The Mission of the Juntos Program is help students achieve high school graduation and access higher education.

6. Juntos Program Provides
Parent/Family Involvement – 6 week workshops for High School and 5-week workshop for Middle School and ongoing family nights
Afterschool 4-H Clubs – Academic Success, Community Service, Public Speaking, Leadership Development, Soccer/ Dance
Success Coaching & Mentoring – Juntos staff who provide one-on-one academic success and connect Juntos students to adults, college student, and peer mentors
Summer Programing – Juntos Summer Academy at NC State University and more (4-H summer programing)
