How: If + present tense + present tense 0: If our team wins a match, our coach is happy When: Things which are always or generally true (altijd of normaal gesproken waar/juist zijn)

4 Introduction What: first conditional How: If + present tense + future
1: We’ll win the competition if our team wins this match. When: Real possibility in the future (wanneer iets daadwerkelijk in de toekomst kan gebeuren)

5 Introduction What: second conditional
How: If + past tense, would + infinitive 2: You would pass your exam if you studied harder When: When the speaker is imagining a situation that will probably not happen (het gaat waarschijnlijk niet gebeuren).
