1 Design Marketing Marketing from Day One

2 Marketing is all around us …it is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have values for customers…it involves the process of planning, pricing, promoting, selling and distributing goods and services.

3 Marketing Concept…implements marketing techniques to ensure customer satisfaction… and generate profits Always keep marketing on your mind from the moment you set out to create your game…if your plan is to sell a product , then keep that as a priority even if it interferes with your artistic vision,

4 The only thing more important than your profits is your integrity…
Your reputation is your most important asset. Guard it carefully…

5 Key is to insure your viewing actions from two standpoints:
How will the market view your ideas/changes? How will your end user view it?

6 The end user is who will buy your game, they are your targeted audience…they perceive things different from the market as a whole… Enhancing your game’s appeal to the market gives you access to a larger audience, while focusing on the end user means that an audience is already receptive to your product and more likely to purchase it.

7 Every change or idea that is put into you product should either make the game more appealing to your current audience or make the game appealing to an audience that has not been reached …always ask your self “ How will the market and the end user respond?”

8 The success of your game will be determined by two things:
How good the game is How well you put the marketing pieces together

9 Target Market The group of people most likely to become customers. The group identified for a certain marketing campaign. Before the physical development of your game begins, you need to identify your target market If you do not have an idea for a game in mind, it is possible to select a target market that is an unfulfilled niche.

10 Explore the market until you see a segment, such as a genre, an activity, a hobby that hasn't been filled… Think about games that are currently on the market and what would be some possibilities for an unfulfilled product niche? What would be some ideas that may generate enough interest?

11 Start to think about ideas for a game …
List and describe at least three ideas you have for a game …remember, make it different from what is currently out there…POINTS OF DIFFERENCE! And CREATIVITY… Submit ideas in a word document
