4 anecdote Defintion: A short and funny memory or incident that is usually told by the narrator. Example: The groomsmen in a wedding often gives a speech for the couple that is getting married. He usually starts by congradulating the couple, and he ususally follows this up with a funny story about the bride and groom. 6 Conflict Definition: Used to create resistance within a story. A conflict can either be internal or external. An internal conflict is when a character struggles with himself and when he usually has to make a difficult decision. An external Conflict is when there are two separate people who are not getting along. Example: Sally really wanted to get a pet puppy. She knew, though that she was not responsible enough to take care of one. Her heart is saying, “Go for it!” but her conscious is trying to convince her otherwise.
