--Am I more concerned about my own difficulties than about the eternal future of others?

3. MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE FORGIVENESS OF OTHERS
Jesus suffers—crucified, etc.
Jesus speaks—”Father, forgive them”
Jesus sympathizes—He knows their ignorance
Jesus sets the example
--When someone wrongs me, am I quick to seek revenge or to offer forgiveness?

4. MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE FAITH OF OTHERS
v.39-43
Jesus suffers—blasphemed by criminals
Jesus speaks—”Today you will be with Me”
Jesus sympathizes—He sees the man’s faith
Jesus sets the example
--Does my frustration at injustice toward me drown out my concern for those whose faith is being expressed out of an ungodly circumstance?

5. MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE FINISHING FOR OTHERS

Jesus suffers—darkness, death
Jesus speaks—”Father into Your hand…”
Jesus sympathizes—”It is finished”
Jesus sets the example
--Am I willing to die to myself so that others may have opportunity to experience life in Christ?
