Why is International Education Important?
International learning helps keep America safe US students who in engage in learning abroad become ambassadors offering a view of America that is balanced against stereotypes International students bring diversity to America’s classrooms fostering better understanding Make it possible for colleges to offer advanced STEM courses and other programming and services for all students on campus

increased by 40% in two years (almost 200 students)

Improving graduation rates
Improving graduation rates? Three (3)- year graduation rates for BC F-1 students entering between 2010 and 2012 averages around 50% This is helping to increase the overall percentage. This compares to 36% college-wide.

Enrollment: a growing number of students from international partners are registering directly at Broward College Florida campuses - including online (China, Vietnam, Ecuador, Spain). 2. Internationalization of College: since 1974, over 250 faculty, administration and board members have participated in Broward College international education programs overseas.

3. Reputation: Broward College has become known throughout the US and around the world in the higher education community as an innovator and leader in the field of international education. 4. Financial: Costs of these programs are borne by the partnering institutions whose students are able to earn an American education without leaving their home country.
