So now we’re going to talk about the physical components on each of the device so you can get familiar with the parts you’ll be interacting with while using it.

LONER MOBILE Loner Mobile provides a convenient way to call for help and check-in using your smartphone, allowing monitoring personnel to pin-point emergency response to your location. The Loner device has three primary components. The power, the belt clip, and the latch. We’ll talk more about how you’ll interact with these in the next section.

Download Loner Mobile from your app store

ACTIVATE LONER MOBILE If you don’t already have an activation code, you will receive a message from Blackline with your code Open Loner Mobile and select Log In Enter your phone number and activation code in the fields

STARTING YOUR SHIFT Questions?
So now we’re going to talk about what you’re going to do when starting your shift and discuss how to properly set up and turn on your devices for proper use.

START MONITORING Press the power button Press START MONITORING
Loner Mobile will begin to Log on to the Blackline Safety Network. Your safety is now being monitored. Once you have turned the device on all that’s left to do is clip the device to your hip pocket, which is the recommended placement of the device.

AUTOMATIC FEATURES During your shift, the device may ask you to confirm that you are safe when a check-in is required Check-in

EARLY CHECK-IN If you wish to avoid a pending alarm, you can check in before it sounds. Press the CHECK IN button on Loner Mobile Select a quick note from the list of notes, enter a custom note or check in without sending a note Your check in timer is reset and device returns to normal function

CHECK-IN Your devices will go into pending alarm when a check in is required. You have 30 seconds to confirm you are safe before a red alert is sent to monitoring personnel. Press OK This will reset your check in timer and return your devices to normal function

MISSED CHECK-IN If you don’t confirm the pending alarm within the 30 seconds, your devices will go into a red alert. A red alert is immediately communicated to monitoring personnel. To silence the red alert, select ACKNOWLEDGE & CHECK IN Select a quick note, enter a custom note or send a check in with no note. The alert notification remains active and will be addressed by monitoring personnel. Your check in timer is reset and device returns to normal function.

SOS RED ALERT Calls for help while notifying people around you
To trigger a SOS alert swipe the bottom slider To silence the red alert, select ACKNOWLEDGE & CHECK IN Select a quick note, enter a custom note or send a check in with no note. The alert notification remains active and will be addressed by monitoring personnel, your device returns to normal function

AUTO CALL EMERGENCY SERVICE
This feature initiates a phone call as soon as a SOS alert is triggered. Your Smartphone must be unlocked for this feature to work. When a SOS alert is triggered, your Smartphone will automatically call whoever is specified in device configuration

SILENT SOS RED ALERT Calls for help without notifying anyone around you. To trigger a silent SOS red alert hold the bottom slider Hold the slider for four seconds An alert notification is sent. To follow up on this alert select ACKNOWLEDGE & CHECK IN.

PROGRAMMABLE KEY PRESS
Sends an alert of your choice with the push of a button In Configuration Profile, turn programmable key press on From the dropdown menu, select if you want the feature to check-in, send an SOS or silent SOS red alert Press the power button on your BlackBerry twice to trigger your selected feature

NOTIFICATIONS

NETWORK ERROR NOTIFICATION
Loner Mobile will notify you if there is a network error. Loner Mobile needs a network connection to monitor your safety.

ENDING YOUR SHIFT

STOP MONITORING Select the power button
Press and hold STOP MONITORING for three seconds. Loner Mobile will log off from the Blackline Safety Network. Your safety is no longer being monitored. At the end of your shift, remove the loner from your hip and press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds. The device will go into shutdown sequence. The green light on the Loner device may flash for up to 10 minutes while it disconnects.
