Introduction What is Body language?
Body language is kind of communication It is includes how we move our body, hand gestures, facial expressions including eye contact.

Introduction Professor Albert Mehrabian's communications model:
Just 7% of meaning in the spoken words 38% of meaning is in the tone of the voice 55% of meaning is in facial expression

Introduction In the thirties of the last century, Charlie Chaplin played “The Tramp” character in many silent movies using the body language only.

First: Palm Gestures

1-The palm facing upwards:
First: Palm Gestures 1-The palm facing upwards: It indicates honesty and openness

2-The palm is facing downwards:
First: Palm Gestures 2-The palm is facing downwards: It's a sign of reasserting or assuming authority

First: Palm Gestures 3-The palm is closed into a fist with a pointing fore-finger It is aggressive Palm Position, the palm is closed into a fist and the pointed finger becomes a symbolic club with which the speaker figuratively beats his listener into submission

Second: The Eyes

Second: The Eyes Looking Up and to the Left It indicate recalling a memory, is thinking about experiences and emotions

1-The Mouth Guard The hand covers the mouth and the thumb is pressed against the cheek as the brain sub- consciously instructs it to try and suppress the deceitful words that are being said

2-Nose Touching It may consist of several light rubs below the nose or it may be one quick, almost imperceptible touch. Like the mouth guard gesture, it can be used both by the speaker to disguise his own deceit and by the listener who doubts the speaker’s words

3-Eye Rub This gesture is the brain's attempt to block out the deceit, doubt or lie that it sees or to avoid having to look at the face of the person to whom he is telling the lie

Conclusion Interpreting the gestures and facial expressions (or lack thereof) in the context of normal body language usually leads to misunderstandings and misinterpretations (especially if body language is given priority over spoken language). It should also be stated that people from different cultures can interpret body language in different ways
