ELA
In English Language Arts we will be studying the elements of nonfictional narratives including sequence of events and vivid verbs for narratives. Each child is expected to read daily and have a book to read if needed during rotations.

MATH
We are continuing Unit 2:Integer Operations and Order of Operations. On Monday, 9-12, we will have a Quiz on Adding and Subtracting Integers, with and without models (textbook alignment: Module 5).

SCIENCE
We will begin our Chemistry Unit! I would love it if you could donate a large bag of regular Skittles (red bag) for an upcoming lab! (6.5A,6.5B, 6.5C)

We are learning all the new geographical terms so we will be ready to tackle the maps and learn how to locate things. Ask your child the difference between the Mercator projection and the Robinson projection. Up next: culture, economy and government.
